Ja Morants father confronts Jazz star Donovan Mitchell to deliver a special message after the Grizzlies are knocked out in 5 games.
Donovan Mitchell and the Utah Jazz could just be the most slept on first seed, in the history of the NBA. When the team showed their brilliance in the regular season, fans were a bit skeptical, fearing that their game wouldnt translate in the postseason.
But the franchise just put away a young but very impressive Grizzlies team in just 5 games. A team that beat a very in-form Warriors side to make the playoffs in the first place.
Its time to wake up and smell the coffee. Utah clearly has something really special brewing right now. And, during a recent exchange with Mitchell, Ja Morants father, Tee, made it clear that he agrees completely.

A little side note, here to the greatest documentary of all time, which is of course, The Last Dance.
Most who watched the documentary will likely remember how harsh the Jazz fans were back then. Jeering, cursing, and racial slurs directed at the opposition ran riot during the games, which famously made it a horrible place for opposition teams to play.
Fast-forward to 2021, and that really hasnt changed much. In fact, there were several racial slurs thrown at the Memphis Grizzlies, and even Ja Morants father, who happened to be sitting in the crowd.
When this was made public, frankly, the Jazz roster could have ignored it all, and no one wouldve blamed them. However, Donovan Mitchell and his crew made it a point to speak out against such indecency. And it seems that this gesture has touched the heart of Tee Morant. Take a look.

Ayo, Im going for yall right now! Why?… Yall didnt have to show love to us like that thats why I hope the Jazz win this championship.
Tee not only commended the franchises ability on the floor but also their moral compass off it. And frankly, we couldnt agree more with him.
However, in terms of winning it all, there is still a lot left to prove for this team. The biggest being, will their over-reliance on the three-point shot be what takes them over the top? Or, will it ultimately become the bane of their title run this year?
