The Cariboo Regional District has issued an evacuation alert for properties in the Si Lake area due to a wildfire.
A map of the properties affected by the alert can be found on the Cariboo Regional District website.
“Residents will be given as much advance notice as possible prior to evacuation, however, you may receive limited notice due to changing conditions,” the district said.
According to the BC Wildfire Service, a wildfire caused by lightning is burning northeast of Si Lake.
The blaze was discovered on July 2, and remains out of control.
According to BC Wildfire Service, the wildfire is an estimated 27 hectares in size.
