MICROSOFT has confirmed that a new outage tonight is stopping Outlook users from viewing their emails.

The tech giant has confirmed that they have engineering teams looking to fix tonight’s issues, which have left many unable to use Outlook.
While Microsoft servers are not down tonight, problems are leaving some users unable to check their emails on desktop or mobile platforms.
For some, Outlook is not showing emails, or some of the text is missing or including corrupted font.
It’s unclear what is causing tonight’s problems or how long they might last. The good news is that Microsoft knows about the issues and is trying to fix it.
It should also be noted that while this outage is currently ongoing, problems have not spiked, meaning it could remain a localised issue.
When asked why Outlook was not showing emails correctly, the official Microsoft Outlook account on Twitter explained:
“Thank you for flagging this with us; the engineering team is aware and actively working on resolving the issue. We appreciate your patience while a solution is reached. More details can be found under EX255650 in the admin centre.”
A further update from the Microsoft 365 support team reveals more on the subject, adding: “We’re investigating available data to isolate the root cause. Users with access to alternate protocols like Outlook on the web or Outlook mobile can use those as a potential workaround in the interim. More details can be found under EX255650 in the admin centre.
“We’re investigating an issue with email message visibility in Outlook. Outlook on the web appears to be unaffected.”
More news on the outage is expected if Outlook services do not return to normal in the coming hour.
One user affected by tonight’s Outlook problems writes: “Having Microsoft Outlook issues here in Los Angeles as well. Outlook won’t display the full body of emails. The issue started about 90 minutes ago.”
