Scores of fans supporting Italy and England crammed into Vancouvers bars and outdoor patios on Sunday to watch the Euro 2020 final, a gripping game in which the Italians won 3-2 in a penalty shootout.
It is the first time since 1968 that Italy won the European Championships, as goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma saved two England penalties after the teams had fought out a 1-1 extra-time draw at a raucous Wembley.
For England and its fans, it was a dream start Luke Shaw scored only two minutes into the game but one which slowly faded as the Italians pressed for the equalizer in the second half. Defender Leonardo Bonnucci levelled the score after 67 minutes.

It was nevertheless heartbreaking for fans of the Three Lions in the Vancouver area, as well as most of the 67,000 Wembley crowd as England came up short in their first major final since they won the World Cup 55 years ago.
