Paul Pogba and his agent, Mino Raiola has one common thing between them. Both of them are never shy of talking facts and calling out those who have hurt them. Last night, talking to Sky Sports, Paul Pogba spoke about his experience under Jose Mourinho and underlined the difference between Jose Mourinho and Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The 28-year-old midfielder, who recently signed a deal with Amazon for a documentary on his life, said quite a few things about his former manager, Jose Mourinho. Talking to the media outlet, Paul Pogba termed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s man-management as one of the best. Also, he hailed the positive impact of Ole at Old Trafford.
The marquee and the costliest signing of 2016, Paul Lillie Pogba said:
What I have now with Ole is different, he wouldn’t go against the players. He wouldn’t go against the players. Maybe Ole wouldn’t pick them, but it’s not like he puts them on the side like they don’t exist anymore. That’s the difference between Mourinho and Ole

Under Jose Mourinho, the French international had a great start to his Manchester United career. The central midfielder had 9 G/A to his name playing as No 6. In the subsequent season, the player not only helped his team to finish second behind Manchester City but he also enjoyed a great season. He had 16 G/A along with 62 dribbles to his name.
Paul Pogba came back to the 2018/19 season as a World Cup-winning midfielder after France won the trophy in Russia. Fans expected the club to finish higher up in the points table and win some trophies.
More from Manchester United
However, things weren’t exactly going according to plan, and to make it worse, Mourinho and Pogba clashed in a training session. People (including me) started blaming Pogba and condemned his attitude. However, the board sacked Mourinho in December and handed the reigns to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The midfielder started to thrive under the Norweigan. The player was involved in 22 G/A in 2018/19 despite having a rough start. The manager gave him more freedom and an advanced role in the midfield. Though the club finished outside the top four, it set the prelude for better things to come at Old Trafford.
Paul Pogba is not the first player to laud Ole’s man-management skills. Luke Shaw appreciated how Ole helped him regain his form after Mourinho called out the player in public. Multiple players have benefitted from Ole despite the treble-winning player has failed to win any trophy.
Manchester United are set to face Burnley on Sunday in the English Premier League clash. Though it’s all nothing but over, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will look to close down the gap between them and the table-toppers. It remains interesting to see how Red Devils will line up for the game after a Europa League outing on Thursday.
