Ontario continued to post record vaccination levels Friday, with 213,236 doses administered across the province.
It was the fourth time in a week the levels rose above 200,000, bringing the total number of vaccinations to 12,366,899 as of 8 p.m. Friday.
Ontario also crossed the 9,000-death mark, with 13 new COVID-19-related fatalities Friday bringing the toll of people who lost their lives to 9,007.
The province reported 355 new cases of COVID-19 as of Friday, bringing the total number of cases to 541,880 since the pandemic began.
The provincial hot spots remained Toronto (with 58 new cases), Waterloo (54), Peel (45), Hamilton (23) and the Porcupine Health Unit region (22).
In health regions in the Ottawa area, Leeds, Grenville and Lanark reported two new cases on Friday. No new cases were reported in Eastern Ontario Health, Kingston & Frontenac and Renfrew County and District.

Ottawa Public Health reported 18 new cases of COVID-19 Saturday for a total of 27,544 cases since the pandemic began.

There was one new death reported, bringing the toll to 588. There were 217 active cases.
The agency said 12 patients were in hospital with COVID-19 related symptoms, five of them in intensive care.
One new outbreak was reported in health care facilities, bringing the total to six. There was also an outbreak in the hotel/bed&breakfast category, bringing the number of community outbreaks to three. There was one ongoing outbreak in child care facilities.
In closely watched indicators, the rolling seven-day average number of cases was 15.9, while percent positivity in testing was 2.9. The reproductive number, the estimate of how many people can be infected by each positive COVID-19 case, was 0.83.
Meanwhile, the Jabapalooza volunteers organized by Dr. Nili Kaplan-Myrth were out again Saturday, this time armed with 588 doses of boosters for second shots.

Latest COVID-19 news in Quebec
Quebec reported 160 new cases Saturday, bringing the total number of people infected to 373,818 since the pandemic began.
There were nine new deaths reported, for a total of 11,189 deaths.There were 11 additional cases in the Outaouais for a total of 12,426 since the pandemic began.
Across the province, hospitalizations rose slightly with 178 cases. There were 39 people in ICU.
There were 91,197 vaccinations administered for a total of 7,249,641 doses.
The regional health authority in the Outaoauis said it would take no new appointments for Pfizer vaccinations until at least next week due to a provincewide delay in supply.
Authorities said existing appointments would be honoured.
Walk-in vaccination sites will continue with Moderna vaccine only.
