Toni Kroos withdrew from Germanys national squad on Tuesday, two weeks before Real Madrid vs Liverpool. The midfielder would be a big loss for Los Blancos.
Real Madrid will want Toni Kroos to face Liverpool in two weeks that much is obvious. But theres now a question of how fit hell be.
Germany confirmed on Tuesday that Kroos has left their squad after an injury. They say its a persistent adductor issue.
Marca then went into more detail. Kroos will miss all three of Germanys games and will have a scan back in Spain.
The German is a real doubt to face Eibar on April 3rd but he should still face Liverpool on April 6th. The scan will put more light on that, though.
Well have to wait and see on Kroos, then. It sounds as though hes pushing it close at the very least and may not be 100% against Liverpool if he plays at all.
And that would be a big blow for Real.
What RTK has to say
Liverpool will be without several stars, too, of course. Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip certainly wont feature in either leg.
So Kroos not playing would level the playing field a little. Hes one of the worlds best midfielders, after all.
We certainly know Jurgen Klopps a fan.
Toni Kroos is an exceptional player, he told Marca back in 2017. Hes a genius. He is so subtle with the ball.
He is very important at Real Madrid. I like him a lot. He always knows what to do with the ball.

His absence would help, then. Real arent quite as scary as they were back in 2018 when Liverpool last faced them.
Cristiano Ronaldo is no longer there, Gareth Bale wont be available to score 1-in-a-million goals, and they have their own injury problems with Eden Hazard.
But they are still a good side. Kroos would prove a serious interruption, though, and hand an advantage to Liverpool.
